The concept of SPO beginning

The Municipal Association “Clean Town, Clean Municipality” arose in 1998. It associates 22 cities and municipalities from wielkopolskie and łódzkie voivodship. The main goal was to deal with the problem of waste treatment in the area in accordance with the building and exploitation of Municipal Solid Waste Treatment and Neutralisation Plant “Orli Staw”. The integral part of the Plant is the Community Waste Reloading Station in Sieradz.

The city Sieradz, city and municipality Warta, municipality Goszczanów and municipality Wróblew which were using the landfill in Bartochów, became the part of Municipal Association “Clean Town, Clean Municipality” in Kalisz. They decided to run a common waste treatment, on the basis of Municipal Solid Waste Treatment and Neutralisation Plant “Orli Staw” in Prażuchy Nowe near Kalisz.

The station is the reloading point for mixed waste and some of reclaimed waste from Sieradz, which will be taken to SWTP “Orli Staw”. The main task of the Waste Reloading Station in Sieradz is to assure the economic waste transport to SWTP “Orli Staw” in Prażuchy Nowe. It will be mainly “wet” and “dry” waste, selective collected and “mixed” waste.
